4th Annual IWALK for ACTS Set to Help Families in Need

Updated

ACTS of Prince William and Image Church are partnering with the Potomac Nationals to host the 4th Annual IWALK for ACTS on Saturday, October 18 at Pfitzner Stadium (7 County Complex Ct, Woodbridge). Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the 5K walk starts at 10 a.m. Registration is $20/individual or $50/family. Proceeds benefit ACTS of Prince William County. To register for IWALK, visit www.iwalkforacts.com or e-mail [email protected] for more information.

Following the walk, the community can enjoy a free family festival from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Attendees will enjoy food vendors, clowns and various performances, and kids activities such as face painting, moon bounces, carnival games, crafts, and much more.

The mission of ACTS of Prince William County is to provide relief, foster hope and promote self-sufficiency for our Prince William area neighbors in crisis due to hunger, homelessness and interpersonal violence. For more information about ACTS, visit actspwc.org.

“We anticipate that 90% of the gross proceeds will go to support ACTS programs. To date we have raised roughly $20,000 in sponsorships,” said Sara Jennings-May, an ACTS spokesperson.

Image Church meets at 13900 Church Hill Drive in Woodbridge on Sundays at 9:30 and 11 a.m. For more information, visit imagechurch.com.
