Intruder Tries to Enter Woodbridge Home

WOODBRIDGE, Va. – A homeowner told police that an intruder ripped a window screen and moved lawn furniture around the window at their home. According to the police report, the intruder tried to enter the house through a basement window. 

Here’s the latest from Prince William police:

Attempted Residential Burglary – On July 31st at 10:12AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12300 block of New Castle Lp in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an attempted burglary. The homeowner reported to police that between 1:50AM and 9:00AM, entry was attempted into the residence through a basement level window. The investigation revealed that the screen to the window ripped and lawn furniture around the window was moved. No entry was made into the home and no property was reported missing.
