Maria Schuller, 88, Needs Volunteers to Help Remove Mold from her Manassas Park Home
Maria Schuller is an 88-year-old retired widow who lives in the Manassas Park home that she and her late husband purchased in 1956.
Maria’s leaky roof has caused mold to form in her home, in addition to drywall and floor damage. Maria just paid for a new roof and because of that expense, is unable to afford the other repairs that are greatly needed in her home.
We have three days of mold remediation that must be done in order to begin the other repairs at Schuller’s home, but we do not have enough volunteers signed up to finish the job.
We need volunteers (age 21+) to help us with mold remediation on June 12, 13 and 14.
Because of the nature of the work, a required mold remediation awareness session will be held on June 10 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the Habitat office (9300 West Courthouse Rd., Suite 105, Manassas). Please sign up for one of these classes on the volunteer calendar. After the class we will sign you up for the work day(s) of your choice.Send news and photos to Potomac Local
