WOODBRIDGE, Va. – A woman was raped inside of her bedroom at her home off Prince William Parkway.

Rape | Sexual Assault Investigation – On May 28th at 6:10AM, officers responded to investigate a sexual assault which was reported to have occurred at an apartment located in the 13700 block of Keelingwood Cl in Woodbridge (22191) around 4:30AM. The victim, a 34 year old woman of Woodbridge, reported to police that she wasasleep in her residence when she awoke to an unknown man inside her bedroom.

The suspect was armed with a handgun and raped the victim before leaving the residence. There were no signs of forced entry into the residence. Two children were inside the apartment at the time of the incident and were unharmed. During a canvass of the apartment complex, neighbors reported to police that a suspicious male was seen on multiple occasions lingering in the area. A sketch of that person was completed. The investigation continues.
