Updated: Suspect Descriptions Released in Woodbridge Shooting

Police have released more information about the two sought in a shooting that left a female and male bystanders suffering from gunshot wounds.

Here’s more in an unedited press release:

Aggravated Malicious Wounding – On May 17th at 6:31PM, officers responded to the 1400 block of Bayside Ave in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a shooting. Officers responded to the area and located two victims, a 35 year old woman and a 28 year old man 0 both of Woodbridge, suffering from injuries. The female victim sustained a gunshot wound to the leg while the male victim sustained a graze wound to his arm. The female victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The investigation revealed that two unknown men, one in a vehicle and the other on foot, began shooting at one another for an unknown reason. During the shooting, the victims and multiple vehicles were struck. The victims were determined to not be involved in the incident. Both men fled prior to officers arriving in the area. The investigation continues.

Back male, between 20 & 30 years of age with a heavy build and black dreadlocks

Black male, between 18 & 25 years of age with a thin build and black dreadlocks

Vehicle Description:

Cream colored, 4-door Lincoln Town Car

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Two bystanders were injured in a shooting in Woodbridge Saturday night.

The unidentified male and female victims were shot while in the 1300 block of Bayside Avenue, in the Bayview Apartments, about 7 p.m. Both victims suffered injured that appeared to be non-life threatening, according to police.

The shootings happened when two men began shooting at each other. One of the shooters fled in a car while the other fled on foot, according to police, who were working Saturday to determine descriptions of the suspects.
