Crime Watch: Prince William Police Investigate Rash of Robberies

Prince William police are investigating a series of robberies.
Here’s unedited information released today by police about the latest incidents:
Armed Robbery – On May 11th at 12:30AM, officers responded to the 8300 block of Irongate Dr in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery. The victim, a 45 year old man of Roosevelt NY, reported to police that he was walking in the above area when he was approached from behind by an unknown man. The man pointed an unknown object against the victim’s back and demanded his property. The suspect took jewelry and an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency from the victim before fleeing on foot. No injuries were reported. The victim believed the object pointed to his back was a handgun; however, no weapon was seen. The victim never faced the suspect and was unable to provide police with a description.
Prince William Crime Solvers are also looking into this incident, where a man armed with a gun walked into an Exxon Station at the corner of Dale Boulevard and Minnieville Road and robbed the place May 8:
On May 8th at 10:55PM, officers responded to the Exxon Service Station located at 13505 Minnieville Rd in Woodbridge (22193) to investigate a robbery. An employee reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. The man then displayed a handgun and demanded money. The employee complied and the suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. No injuries were reported.
