Connie Moser will be honored by the League of Women Voters of Virginia.
Moser, who is head of the Neabsco Action Alliance, neighborhood activist, and a columnist for Potomac Local News, will be recognized for her contributions to “making democracy work” but locally and regionally.
“This award was completely unexpected and a delightful surprise. I am both honored and humbled to be recognized by such a prestigious organization as the League of Women Voters,” said Moser.
Moser was nominated by the Prince William League of Women Voters. She will join nine others from across the state who will be honored March 22 and the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond.

Connie actively encourages and empowers others to participate in the democratic process at many levels in the Prince William area. She educates the community using several types of media in a manner that initiates and encourages civil dialogue and action on a wide range of public policy issues. Her creative initiatives and community education efforts result in more well-informed voters and empowered citizens. She is Making Democracy Work.
The celebration also will feature a presentation by Bob Gibson, Executive Director of The Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.

DMV residents who turn in their gas-powered lawn tools will receive a FREE Ego Power+ replacement including batteries and chargers, while supplies last.
Compared to gas, electric lawn equipment can reduce emissions, noise pollution, health risks and maintenance costs and time. The program aims to remove about a hundred gas-powered polluting tools from yards in the greater Baltimore-Washington region.
The exchanges will take place the weekends of May 17-19, 2024, and May 31-June 2, 2024, at A Few Cool Hardware Stores network of employee-owned Ace Hardware stores in the DC and Baltimore metro areas.
