The show must go on, and it did on Saturday during the rescheduled running of the Frigid 5K in Occoquan.

The course wound through the streets of Occoquan, starting at the end of Mill Street, then running come to a turnaround point where they were directed on to Washington Street, then through a loop and three other streets before they are directed back to Mill Street and were greeted at the finish line.

The route on Saturday morning was marked with cones and signs, and police from Occoquan and the nearby Town of Quantico provided runners direction and protection from passing cars by closing off many of the town’s streets to vehicle traffic.

The top placing participants were honored after the race during a ceremony at Town Hall. Occoquan Mayor Earnie Porta placed medals on the top finishing runners.
