Update

Someone inside the school pulled a fire alarm prompting the fire and rescue response, said Prince William fire and rescue spokesman Curt Brodie.

2:30 p.m.

Children were evacuated from Neabsco Elementary School in Dale City about 2:30 this afternoon as two fire trucks pulled up outside the building.

A total of four firefighters went into the building. Not long after, students and staff were given an alll-clear and children were given a “jumping jack challenge,” according to our source on the scene.

It’s unclear what prompted the fire and rescue response, and we’re working to get information from Prince William County fire officials.
