Stafford’s First Baby of New Year Comes in at 9 Pounds, 12 Ounces




STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. — The first baby born in 2014 at Stafford Hospital came on Jan. 2.

Baby boy Adrian Yassin Torrico was born at 1:20 a.m. to parents Kauther Torrico and father Jorge Luis Torrico.

The child weighed 9 pounds, 12 ounces when he was born. Little Adrian was due to be a Christmastime baby as his original due date was scheduled to be Dec. 23, according to a hospital official.

Adrian’s parents both live in Stafford County.

In Woodbridge, the first child born at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center was a boy with the last name Canales. The hospital could not release any more information on the child.
