Pedestrian Killed in Woodbridge Sunday Night

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A pedestrian was killed Sunday evening while crossing Occoquan Road in Woodbridge.

The Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in providing information about a fatal crash involving a hit and run which was reported to have occurred on Occoquan Road near Vineyard Road in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County.

Crash – Fatality – Hit & Run – On December 22nd at 7:11PM, investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Occoquan Rd and Vineyard Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that a pedestrian was crossing Occoquan Rd near the intersection of Vineyard Rd at the same time the driver of an unknown vehicle was travelling Northbound on Occoquan Rd. The driver of the vehicle struck the pedestrian and left the scene prior to police arrival. The pedestrian, an adult male, died at the scene as a result the injuries sustained during the collision. Investigation continues.
