Manassas Child Porn Investigation Nets 2

MANASSAS, Va. — Two men face charges of possession of child pornography.

The suspects were arrested Wednesday after a joint investigation with Manassas Police and the Northern Virginia – District of Columbia Internet Crimes against Children Taskforce.

[Ryan Michael] Hirmer, 19, of 10423 Grant Ave [in Manassas] was arrested on December 18, 2013 after Investigators discovered through the course of a 20 month-long investigation and execution of a search warrant of Grant’s residence that he had been using a file-sharing program to obtain child pornography over the Internet for personal use. Grant was charged with two felony counts for Possession of Child Pornography. His court date has not been set.

[Jesse Good] Galvan, 35, of Leetsdale, PA was arrested on December 18, 2013 after NOVA/DC ICAC conducted a search warrant of 170 Market St, Manassas Park, VA, which was Galvan’s residence at the time of the search warrant. Upon further investigation, Detectives discovered Galvan had been using file-sharing software to obtain and distribute child pornography over the Internet for several years. Following the 18 month-long investigation, Galvan was charged with nine felony counts for Possession of Child Pornography and one felony count for Distribution of Child Pornography. He is currently awaiting extradition from Pennsylvania back to Virginia.
