Update

Three people have been confirmed dead in a trailer fire this morning in Triangle.

Neighbors said a mother lived inside the home with her 19-year-old son and a boyfriend. They spoke highly of the son, whom they called Floyd.

“He is wonderful young man, a good kid. They were good people. He has spent the night at my house many times,” said Virginia Moffett, who lives nearby.

Police said the names and ages of those inside the trailer will not officially be released until positive identities can be made by investigators.

10:25 a.m.

TRIANGLE, Va. — Two people inside a trailer were killed this morning during fire.

Fire crews were called to the 18700 block of Fuller Heights Road in Triangle at 3:22 a.m. for a report of a fire. They arrived to find a home “heavily involved” in flames, said Prince William fire and rescue Battalion Chief Curt Brodie.

Crews began their attack on the blaze and extinguished the flames only to find two people didn’t make it out of the home. The victims have not been identified.

The cause of the fire is still under a joint investigation by the Prince William fire and police departments.

“It’s going to be a long day for us here,” said Brodie.

The trailer park is located nearby the entrance of Quantico Marine Corps Base the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
