In Memoriam: Joseph Nahim Slaiby

JOSEPH NAHIM SLAIBY, 75, of Manassas, Virginia passed away Tuesday at Novant Health Prince William Hospital, Manassas, Virginia.

He was born November 1, 1937 in Ghazir, Lebanon the son of Nahim and Siyeka Slaiby. He was retired from the produce department of Giant Foods and was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors include his loving wife, Bahia Richa Slaiby; four children, Mariejose Magee, Pierre Joseph Slaiby, Lina Opiola and Joe Slaiby; his mother, Siyeka Slaiby; seven siblings, Marie Slaiby, Elias Slaiby, Michel Slaiby, George Slaiby, Francois Slaiby, Sabah Slaiby and Laura Slaiby; 13 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 pm Monday, August 5, 2013 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00AM Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia with Rev. Jeb Donelan officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
