Culbreth Charged in Burke & Herbert Robbery

Prince William police said a man is charged in the robbery of a Burke and Herbert bank in Woodbridge last weekend.

The man was found in North Carolina, and he’s also wanted in connection to a crime in West Virginia.

Bank Robbery *ARREST – On February 26th, officers from the Fayetteville Police Department in North Carolina apprehended two suspects following a bank robbery which occurred in that jurisdiction. A joint investigation by the Prince William County Police Robbery Unit and the FBI revealed that one of the suspects, Russell CULBRETH, was responsible for the bank robbery which occurred at the Burke and Herbert Bank located at 14008 Smoketown Rd in Woodbridge on February 23rd.

The accused, CULBRETH, is currently in North Carolina and will be extradited back to Prince William County. The accused was also wanted by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office in WV in regard to a bank robbery in that jurisdiction.

The Prince William County Police Department is grateful for the quick work and apprehension of this suspect by the officers and investigators of the Fayetteville Police Department, in addition to, the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI who also assisted with this investigation.
