PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Prince William County’s top officials will not meet at scheduled on Tuesday.
A notice posted to the county’s website told residents the regularly scheduled meeting of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors was canceled. A reason for the cancelation was provided.
According to one county official, items slated to be taken up at this week’s meeting were not critical action items.
“Every single thing on the agenda this week was not critical this week. Every item that would’ve taken place will occur at next week or some subsequent meeting,” said Prince William Coles District Supervisor Marty Nohe.
Nohe said the cancelation of meetings where there’s no significant agenda items saves time and money when it comes to the efforts of county staff. He also added the Board is seeing fewer land-use issues, which take up far more discussion time when compared to other issues.
The Board is expected to tackle some major issues in a series up upcoming meetings, including a presentation about the county’s five-year plan.
The eight-member Board usually meets at least twice per month to govern Prince William County.
