NOKESVILLE, Va. — The Americans in Wartime Museum held an open house at its “tank farm” in Nokesville this weekend.

The event was designed to showcase some of the museum’s military vehicle collection, as well as raise awareness and cash for a permanent home for the museum which will be built near the intersection of Dale Boulevard and Interstate 95 in Dale City.

The organization expected 6,000 people to come out for their two-day event, which feature demonstrations of military tanks, guns, and hardware.

Thanks for covering the event, Potomac Local! The Museum team was happy to host so many people this weekend and give a preview of what the Museum will have to offer.

    Good Afternoon,

Wondering will there be another event at the “Tank Farm” in Nokesville this year? Do you have any idea at this point how far the construction of the Americans in Wartime Museum is coming along? Any indication when or if it will be opening in the near future. I am super excited about these events and would love to be a part of them. I am an enormous Military History enthusiast. Any information you can give me about the “Tank Farm” event or the opening of the Museum would be greatly appreciated. Please consider me if any help is needed.
