UPDATE 6.35 a.m. 

Nine people were displaced after fire ripped through three townhomes this morning.

That fire broke out sometime after 4 a.m. on Sligo Loop in Southbridge.

The fire was quickly brought under control and no one was injured in the blaze, said Prince William fire and rescue Chief Curtis Brodie.

5:25 a.m. 

SOUTHBRIDGE, Va. – Several townhomes appear to have been affected by an early morning blaze Thursday.

Photos just sent to PotomacLocal.com show at least two houses on Sligo Loop in the Southbridge community, behind a Walmart store on U.S. 1 near Dumfries, show the damaged homes.
