Woman Injured in North Stafford Blaze

NORTH STAFFORD, Va. – On Wednesday July 25, 2012 at 9:28 p.m., Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a reported structure fire at 100 Hyde Park in Sunnydale Meadows, behind Stafford Marketplace shopping center on Va. 610.

The first unit arrived on scene within six minutes reporting fire in the basement extending to the first floor of a Townhome. Once firefighters confirmed all occupants had exited the home they worked to extinguish the fire which was under control within ten minutes.

Three adults, 1 infant, and 1 pet were displaced because of this incident. The American Red Cross assisted with sheltering. One adult female was transported by Medic 10 as a result of this incident.

There were no [fire and rescue department] injuries resulting from this event. The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage estimates are not available.
