Charges Filed in Missing County Laptops
Prince William County, Va. – A Fredericksburg man faces embezzlement charges after police looked into a case of missing laptops.
The computers, which were property of Prince William County Government, went missing between 2001 and 2004.
Investigators in January tracked the laptops to a contracted employee who worked for the county during that timeframe, according to police documents.
The man charged is suspected to stealing 20 laptops valued at $2,000, police documents state.
David James Einhorn, 43, of Fredericksburg, is charged with embezzlement, police documents state.
Einhorn appeared in court last month, but his arraignment was continued. He will appear in court again April 4.
The suspect was released on his own recognizance.
