Victim fights off gunman
Police said a Woodbridge area man fought off an armed man who tried to rob him.
It happened Monday night in the 2800 block of Barley Court in the Southbridge area of Woodbridge, according to Prince William County police documents.
The victim was inside his house when he heard his dog barking outside, and when he went outside to investigate he was approached by two men, stated police. One of the men had a handgun and demanded money.
The victim got into a fight with the gunman, and the two men fled, according to Prince William police.
Both men were described as black between 18 and 23-years-old, the first being 6-feet tall, with black hair, wearing a black Northface style jacket and jeans, and a handgun.
The second was described as 6-feet 3 inches tall, thin with black hair, also wearing a Black Northface style jacket and jeans.
