Volunteers wanted for website redesign

Stafford County, Va. –– Stafford County officials are looking for a few good men and women to help make their website better.

The website in its current form resembles something out of the early days of the web, when graphics and columns were added to make the web a more aesthetically place to be. While the site does provide county residents with a lot of information, the look of other websites has changed and county leaders recognize it’s time for their site to catch up.

“A key component of the redesign process is obtaining important input from community members,” said Stafford County Administrator Anthony Romanello. “Results from the focus group will help us determine areas for design improvements and ways that we can better meet users’ needs.”

Officials want a new site to reflect the county’s history and traditions, as well as to improve the site’s overall usability, features and look.

Anyone interested in participating the in the redesign focus group should call 540-658-4894. The first focus group meeting will take place at 5 p.m. Dec. 8 in the IT training room at the county’s administration center on Courthouse Road in Stafford.
